Three steps: download the Starter Pack, attach it to a new conversation, then paste the starter prompt.

How to load

  1. 01Download the Starter Pack (.md file) from the sidebar.
  2. 02Open a new conversation in ChatGPT.
  3. 03Click the attach (paperclip) icon and upload the .md file. Alternatively, paste the file's full contents as your first message.
  4. 04Paste the starter prompt and your house problem.
  5. 05Answer the intake questions one at a time before asking for any action.

Platform notes

Use a Project

For repeat use, create a ChatGPT Project, upload the Starter Pack once, and paste the starter prompt into Project Instructions. Every conversation in that project will start with the H0U53 toolbox already loaded.

Custom GPT (Plus)

Plus users can build a Custom GPT with the Starter Pack in Knowledge and the starter prompt as Instructions. Conversations start in the right context without prompt-pasting.

What ChatGPT does well here

Strong at intake conversations and at generating a contractor- ready summary. Be explicit when you want it to label uncertainty (“say `verify`” works) — its default tone can be overconfident.
